Reading some of the blurbs in the news this morning, and came across an article on T. Boone Pickens, one of the worst oil/gas magnates in America, approaching the Senate to become a provider of wind energy. The same people that profit from countless years of fossil fuel abuse now want in on the green movement. Does anyone else see the absolute hypocrisy in this?

While, yes there may be some degree of hypocrisy, those people who have been making billions off oil and gas are the people with the resources to give clean energy cheaply to the majority of people. That, and they have a right to make money. If the product they sell (oil/gas/coal) becomes obsolete and remains unused, then hundreds of thousands of people will be out of a job. Finally, I personally see nothing wrong with a LITTLE hypocrisy to further a good cause.
