What are three reasons our government should invest in alternative/Renewable energy sources?

Writing a research paper.. due tomorrow! i have two reasons- Economically beneficial and Prevent global warming… but im missing another reason (whole paragraph) if i don’t get a good grade on this, passing english doesn’t look likely for me. PLEASE HELP!

Reduce dependence on foreign fuel supplies
Reliable cost (eg you know how much it’ll cost to install a solar panel, but you don’t know the price of gas next year, or in 10 years…)
Reduced global warming

Reduced environmental damage in lots of other ways – don’t need to blow up mountains to get at the coal, or take a look at the Niger delta to see oil extraction at work.

Also, except for biomass, they are low or zero air pollution electricity sources. Air pollution kills tens of thousands of Americans every year. A switch to pure renewable/nuclear electricity would save tens of thousands of American lives every year (in the UK deaths are something like 10,000/yr iirc?).

What kind of jobs can this renewable energy certificate get me?

The courses that are required are chemistry fundamentals, basic electricity, applied alternative and renewable energy, and technical math 2. It’s a 14 credit program.
Thanks for the spam. I reported you.

Agricultural scientists.
Some types of
scientists work to improve agriculture.
Crop scientists study the genetic breeding
and management of field crops. Soil sci-
entists use soil physics, soil chemistry,
and soil microbiology to enhance soil fer-
tility and the growth of plants. Agrono-
mists develop practical applications for
discoveries in plant and soil science to
produce high quality food.
Other scientists
. There are many other
branches of science. Geologists study the
history and composition of our planet, in-
cluding volcanoes and earthquakes.
Oceanographers study the oceans and
their movements. Meteorologists study
the atmosphere, and some make weather
predictions. Astronomers study the uni-
verse, trying to gain knowledge about the
stars, planets, and galaxies.

This is not “How to make PV Solar Cells”.
It is possible to home-make Copper Oxide and other kinds of materials but that is a whole nother story which I may do in the future.
