Hope for a Change: Renewable Energy trailer
For more information: http://www.hopeforachange.net/
This documentary about how people and communities using Renewable Energy provides hope that we will achieve a sustainable future. This hope is a natural result of the ability of renewable energy to replace non-renewables like fossil fuels and nuclear energy. Hope for a Change sets the stage for a world where political and social autonomy is possible, energy crises are history, climate change is halted, and oil/nuclear war is averted. See how it’s possible to live an ethical existence today while providing hope for a better future for our children.
Featured in this timely documentary are award-winning scientist and world-renowned environmentalist Dr. David Suzuki, author of the Geography of Hope, which is on the “Globe 100″ list of the best books of the year — Chris Turner , and Right Livelihood award-winner Dr. Hermann Scheer, the architect of the German Renewable Energy Act.

Obama on Clean Energy: Build Safe, Clean Nuclear Power Plants; New Offshore Oil & Gas Development
(1/27/10) Barack Obama–State of the Union: “To create more of these clean energy jobs, we need more production, more efficiency, more incentives. That means building a new generation of safe, clean nuclear power plants in this country. It means making tough decisions about opening new offshore areas for oil and gas development. It means continued investment in advanced biofuels and clean coal technologies.”

Blogging effectively using natural resources (sunlight & wind)
The future of energy is Solar and Wind. Here is a short video of some solar energy farms around the world. Enjoy
Solar Energy is energy from the Sun. This energy drives the climate and weather and supports virtually all life on Earth. Heat and light from the sun, along with solar-based resources such as wind and wave power, hydroelectricity and biomass, account for most of the available flow of renewable energy.
Solar energy technologies harness the sun’s energy for practical ends. These technologies date from the time of the early Greeks, Native Americans and Chinese, who warmed their buildings by orienting them toward the sun. Modern solar technologies provide heating, lighting, electricity and even flight.
Solar power is used synonymously with solar energy or more specifically to refer to the conversion of sunlight into electricity. This can be done either through the photovoltaic effect or by heating a transfer fluid to produce steam to run a generator.
Solar photovoltaics provide 0.04% of the world’s energy usage.
There are many technologies for harnessing solar energy. Applications span through the residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and transportation sectors. Solar energy can be used to produce food, heat, light and electricity. The flexibility of solar energy is manifest in a wide variety of technologies. -wikipedia
