Friis Petersen, Denmark’s ambassador to the United States, talks about creation of a green-energy economy in this address at the University of Virginia. He highlights the huge strides Denmark has made in harnessing wind energy, helping to drastically reduce the country’s use of nonrenewable energy sources over the past 30 years. Denmark is to host the United Nations Climate Change Conference in December 2009.

Petersen’s talk is one in a series of talks to be presented at U.Va. by ambassadors in the 2009-10 academic year. The series is sponsored by the Office of the Vice Provost for International Programs.

Copyright 2009 Media Magic Productions, LLC. This is a Pro Bono promotional video project for Green Energy Ohio, based in Columbus. It was spearheaded by our 2009 summer interns, Rebecca Moisio (scriptwriter/producer) and Cory Sage (videographer/editor). The project was planned and coordinated by Rebecca and Cory- Cheryl Dickson-Walker supervised as Executive Director and David Walker served as Director of Photography. The voiceover work was donated by David Bucci. After the completion of their internship, Dave and Cheryl completed the finishing work on the video, creating the graphics and animation, and polishing the audio and video editing.
